The Perfect Fool by Bethany Z. Herbert

The Perfect Fool by Bethany Z. Herbert

Dust Jacket:

Plucked from the streets to become a court jester, Farragos' life couldn't be better, especially now that he's flirting with scullery maid Thea. But when Thea turns out to be a queen in disguise, Farrago may become as much a fool in love, as in his occupation. This medieval tale is filled with romance, humor, and twists that will keep you guessing to the last page.

My Review: 5 Stars!

Absolutely LOVED this book! When I read the dust jacket and saw the cover it looked a little quirky and I wasn't sure what to expect. It was awesomely quirky, witty, cleaver, and completely unexpected!

So the funny looking, out-of-the-box thinking, court jester is our hero. He goes from starving on the street to being the court jester to masquerading as a noble to compete for the queen's hand in a funny bachelorette-type competition. This book kept me sucked it. The plot is engaging but not predictable. Our hero is constantly put in in perilous situations and the way he gets out of them is unconventional.

This is a clean and funny read with some violence that I would recommend to the whole family and all ages.
